Dogs in Need of Rehoming

Into every trainer's life, dogs will come along that are simply in the wrong circumstance. Either their

homes and families have done everything they can to make it work, but sometimes fitting a square peg into a

round hole just isn't possible, or the situation is just not optimal for success. We will help find such dogs new homes.

Once we have assessed and know the dog, it's medical history, and the type of home we are looking for, we will

engage our social media and digital assets to assist and work with the outgoing and incoming homes to create success

for these wonderful pups in need of a chance to succeed.

Diesel   ~   15 month old Bully Breed

UTD on Vaccinations      Neutered      Kids X     Cats X    Dogs with proper intro

This young man started life behind the 8 ball. Kept by the breeder until he was 6 months old, he missed out on building a reference library for life in his critical period for socialization. This has led to a fearful existence for him. Every sound is terrifying, and novel situations he has no resilience for.

While Diesel gets along with most other dogs, there is an elderly Frenchie on medications that absolutely hates him in his current home. The other male Frenchie is his best friend, and he has been around other dogs and does really well with them as well.

Generally, he is fearful of new people but does eventually come around to them with repeated exposure.

Diesel will need to go to a force-free home where they are willing to work through his fear of people and who will understand that he is developing new coping strategies for novelty with the aid of medications, which make the world a lot less scary. He may need to be on them for a few years or for the rest of his life. There is no way to tell right now. Regardless, they are not terribly expensive. If you do not know what force-free means, you are not the right home for Diesel. A home where aversives are used will turn this fearful dog into an aggressive one. Read why here

We do not recommend a home where there are small children or where small children will visit as he is really unsure of children after a terrible experience. He has not been tested with cats.

Diesel is a loyal companion who lights up for his people and, when he feels safe, often choosing to drape himself over them like a weighted blanket. He is kennel trained, house trained, and walks very nicely (likely due to being scared of the outside world and needing to stay really close to his people).

IN NEED OF A QUIET HOME AND LIFESTYLE WHERE I CAN THRIVE.
